I was born in upstate New York but I did most of my "growing up" in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

I graduated from Baton Rouge Magnet H.S. and came to Texas to attend Trinity University, here in San Antonio.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and French, followed by a year-long internship to earn my Master of Arts in Teaching degree.

I began teaching mathematics in North East ISD at Lee H.S.  During my seven years at Lee, I taught a variety of math courses including Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Precalculus.

In the summer of 2002, a good friend convinced me that the DATA magnet program at Roosevelt H.S. was the place to be. She was so right! At DATA I have taught Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, AP Statistics, Precalculus, Precalculus OnRamps, and AP Calculus AB.

In the 2023-2024 school year, I will be teaching 4 classes of AP Statistics and 2 classes of Precalculus OnRamps, but I am happy to tutor students from any math class.

I co-sponsor Roosevelt's Leo Club, a community service organization, with Mrs. Blanchard. 

I am also the co-UIL Academics Campus Coordinator, with Ms. Finley.

This year, I will be coaching the UIL math events (Number Sense, Calculator, and Mathematics) with Mr. Stancek; let me know if you are interested in joining!

When I am not at school, I spend time with my family - my husband, our two daughters, and two dogs.  I like reading books, watching TV & movies, and doing all sorts of crafts, especially scrapbooking and card making.
