2021-22 Intro Video

I was born in upstate New York but I did most of my "growing up" in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

I graduated from Baton Rouge Magnet HS and came to Texas to attend Trinity University.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and French, followed by a year-long internship to earn my Master of Arts in Teaching degree.

I began teaching mathematics in North East ISD at Lee HS.  During my seven years at Lee, I taught a variety of math courses including Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Precalculus.

In the summer of 2002, a good friend convinced me that the DATA magnet program at Roosevelt HS was the place to be. She was so right! At DATA I have taught Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, AP Statistics, Precalculus, Precalculus OnRamps, and AP Calculus AB.

In the 2021-2022 school year, I will be teaching 2 classes of AP Statistics and 4 classes of Precalculus OnRamps, but I am happy to tutor students from any math class.

I co-sponsor Leo Club, a community service organization, with Mrs. Blanchard.

When I am not at school, I spend time with my family - my husband, our two teenage daughters, and two dogs.  I like reading books, watching TV & movies, and doing all sorts of crafts, especially scrapbooking and card making.

I would like to give a special thanks to Ms. Daggett's students for making my TR Spirit GIF so I didn't have to post a boring picture of myself.
