Senior Army Instructor

Captain Keisha L. Spaulding was born and raised in Campbellsville, Kentucky and enlisted in the Army in October 1996. Upon completion of Basic Combat Training, CPT Spaulding graduated Advanced Individual Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina as a Personnel Information Management Specialist (75F). At the rank of Sergeant First Class with eleven and half years of service, she graduated Officer Candidate School in July 2008 earning her commission as a Second Lieutenant in the Adjutant General Corps.

Her military awards and decorations include: Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2OLC), Army Commendation Medal (4OLC), Army Achievement Medal (5OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal (2 knots), National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (award numeral 3), Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon and the NATO Medal. 

Captain Spaulding is married to Mr. Tim Higdon of Nashville, Michigan. They have five children: Timothy, Enedina, Daniel, Donovan, and Fridah; they currently reside in San Antonio, Texas.
