Degrees and Certifications:

Bachelors of Arts-History Masters of Arts- History

Ms. Anilú Saldaña

I received a Bachelor of Arts in History with a teaching certification with honors from University of Houston in 2003. I began my teaching profession in 2004 at Brentwood Middle School for Edgewood ISD teaching Texas History and spent the next 10 years being a proud member of the Viking family. After receiving my Masters in History from the University of Texas at San Antonio, I joined Memorial High School to teach Dual Credit history in the STEM program in 2014, and then briefly took time off to raise my new born daughter at the end of the year. After three years, I returned to teach U.S. History at Kennedy High School where I co-sponsored a Venturing Crew group. Afterwards, I decided to return to middle school, teaching U.S. History at Longfellow Middle School for San Antonio ISD. I am now currently teaching Texas History at Jackson Middle School in North East ISD. I hope to inspire my students with a passion to be life-long learners who will continue to question the world around them!
