Ms. Georgina Acosta

Hello:  

My name is Georgina Acosta and I am happy to say this is my 17th year teaching Career and Technology (CTE) classes.  I grew up in El Paso, Texas and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business Education from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP).  In El Paso, I taught 8th grade for two years and high school for five years, and in Irving, Texas I was a College Graduation Coach at an academy for three years.  I'm currently attending UTSA to earn a Master's in Bilingual-Bicultural studies.  This is my 7th year joining the great Churchill High School teaching staff where I will teach Business Courses.  Working with high school students is both a passion and a privilege.  I am excited to be part of such an amazing high school and community.

On a personal note, I am the mother of two fantastic children.  My son, the writer, has an MFA in creative writing and my daughter a Master's degree in communications.  Both are also UTEP grads.  My hobbies are baking, reading, watching movies, and spending time with my family and 6 pound Chihuahua, who thinks she is a Rottweiler.
