Ms. Kristie Holliday-Johnson
Hello Chargers!
Thank you for visiting my web page. Many of you already know me as Ms. Hojo from my fifteen years at Churchill. I have loved every minute of teaching Environmental Systems, AP Environmental Science, Pre-AP Biology, and for the past two years, Forensic Science. I am a proud Charger and alumna of UTSA. Go, Runners! I am also the mother of two wonderful children and grandmother of four precocious grandkids: Zoie, Levi, Noah, and Kato. As a native Louisianian, I love spending time in the water and eating all of its delicious delicacies.😊 I am super excited about the pandemic ending and starting a more traditional school year. My goal is to make each day interesting and fun. I will be sharing copies of class notes, labs, and daily assignments through Google Classroom. Students are encouraged to check it regularly for deadlines and notifications. I will be communicating with parents and guardians through the message center in Skyward. It is important that parents log in to Skyward and confirm that all contact information is up to date. If you have difficulty logging in, contact the NEISD Help Desk at 210-356-4357 (356-HELP).
Once a Charger, Always a Charger!
Note: Students are strongly encouraged to access Google Classroom through Launchpad to avoid technical issues when using mobile apps. If problems arise, email me immediately at Kholli@neisd.net.

What Is Forensic Science?
Forensic Science is a course that uses a structured and scientific approach to the investigation of crimes of assault, abuse and neglect, domestic violence, accidental death, homicide, and the psychology of criminal behavior. Students will learn legal terminology and investigative procedures related to crime scenes, questioning techniques, criminal behavior characteristics, truth detection, and scientific procedures used to solve crimes. Using scientific methods, students will collect and analyze evidence through case studies and simulated crime scenes, such as fingerprint analysis, ballistics, and blood spatter analysis. In short, students will explore the history, legal aspects, and many career options in the field of Forensic Science.
