Mr. John Ghrist III

Hello!  My name is Mr. Ghrist and I am excited to teach United States History and AP U.S. History OnRamps here at Churchill!  I grew up right here in San Antonio and still live in NEISD territory today.  I am also a product of the NEISD system, having attended both Bradley Middle School and MacArthur High School.  I furthered my education at the University of Texas at Austin and graduated in 2011 (Hook 'Em Horns!) with a focus on history and education and then continued on to law school at the University of Houston Law Center, where I received my J.D. in 2015.  I love all things Texas Longhorns and San Antonio Spurs as well as my lovely pugs that I like to show off once in a while. I'm looking forward to my 5th year and a wonderful 2023-24 school year and all the challenges it brings with it!
