My name is Alejandro Rosas, and I am in my 13th year teaching at Roosevelt HS. I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, TX graduating from W.B. Ray in 1997. I then went to College Station, TX attending Texas A&M graduating in 2002 with a Bachelors in Applied Mathematics. Immediately following graduation, I attended The Art Institute of Houston where I achieved an Associates in Graphic Design in 2004.
I was a professional Graphic Designer for 8 years and then decided to teach in 2013. Before becoming an Art teacher in 2019, I taught Geometry for seven years. I am an artist at heart, but I have an affinity with mathematics and how it applies to everyone and everything. Math and Art are both very visual subjects, and I try and incorporate as much creativity as I can in my classes.
This year, I will be teaching Strategic Math. I look forward to the 2024-25 school year and the success that your scholar will achieve.
