About Mrs. D...

Hello and welcome!  I grew up in Katy, Texas and graduated from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos...Eat 'Em Up Cats!!!  Teaching areas include Regular and Advanced Placement United States Government and Politics, and Regular and Advanced Placement World History.  I have been married for 23 years, and my husband and I have a 16 year old daughter named Taylor and a 14 year old daughter named Quinn.  We also have a schnoodle named BooBear Marshmellow who is 6 1/2 years old and a rescue puppy named Gary Bisquit who is 4.  My interests include United States Government, American and World History, politics, soccer (World Cup), and college football (SEC).  My #1 team...the Georgia Bulldogs.  GO DAWGS!!!   
 
I also enjoy listening to music, traveling, swimming in the ocean, water slides, (basically anything at the beach), meeting new people, going to the movies, playing games, spending time and having fun with my family and friends, and I especially enjoy loving on my two precious daughters!!!  
 
I always knew growing up that I wanted to share my passion for life and learning with kids.  I have been a Churchill Charger for 22 years and teaching for a total of 26 years.  I still look forward to every new school year.  I chose to become an educator because I truly care about the students and making a difference in their lives. As a teacher, I strive for all of my students to be the best that they can be, while having some fun along the way. I look forward to a wonderful year.  I am so proud to be a Churchill Charger!!!
