BA in Visual Studies (Art Education) Art EC-12
Kevin Bell
I am a proud graduate of the North East Independent School District and Texas Tech University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Visual Studies (Art Education). Over the span of my career, I’ve had the opportunity to teach a range of secondary art courses while also spending several years coaching competitive swimming and water polo.
Since entering the field of education in 2010, I’ve been fortunate to achieve a number of personal and professional milestones. These include being named Teacher of the Year twice, as well as earning recognition as Boys Coach of the Meet for Districts 12-6A and 25-5A, and Region 7-5A Coach of the Meet in swimming.
Now in my 15th year of teaching, I’m excited to be in my second year at Churchill High School, where I currently teach Art I, Art I Honors, and Art II Honors. I’m deeply passionate about the role that visual arts play in student development and am committed to creating an inclusive, inspiring space where young artists can grow and thrive.
Outside of the classroom, I’m blessed to share life with my amazing wife, Shawnasee, and our three energetic boys — Cohen, River, and Lachlan.
"Creativity lives inside all of us."
