Mrs. Shawna Lien
**I know this is a trying time with lots of uncertainty, please know that you can always email me if you need any help or have any questions concerning my class. I've never taught band virtually so I am learning with you. :) I will do my best to address any questions or concerns you have. I miss all of my students and I hope to see you all again very soon, everyone stay healthy and safe!**
This is my fourteenth year teaching music to children as well as my fourteenth year as a T-Wolf! I am from the small town of La Vernia, about forty-five minutes southeast of Tejeda. My band director there was the one that inspired me to become a band director myself, so that I could also instill a love of making music in my students. The ability to make music is a gift that I hope my students realize they can carry with them for a lifetime.
I love the middle school age (with all of its challenges!) because for many kids, band is their first experience with music and playing in some sort of ensemble, and that can create some magical musical moments!
When not teaching music I love to spend time with my husband and daughter. We are always planning our next trip to Disney!
