Hello Everyone, I’m Lauren Boubel, and I’m thrilled to be stepping into my very first year as a 6th grade science teacher! With a bachelor’s degree in education focused on 4-8 grade math and science from UTSA, I’m eager to bring my passion for learning and teaching to our incredible school.

I had the pleasure of completing my student teaching here at Tejeda in the spring of 2024, and I couldn’t be more excited to return as a full-time member of the team. My teaching philosophy centers around fostering a growth mindset for both my students and myself, and creating a classroom environment where every student feels safe, valued, and included.

Outside the classroom, you’ll find me listening to music, spending time with my family, boyfriend, and adorable cat, May, or drinking coffee! A fun tidbit about me—I was born and raised in Maine and made the move to Texas in 2019. It’s been an exciting journey, and I’m so looking forward to continuing it here at Tejeda.
