📚🏀🌳 New adventures begin! I'm excited to join Tejeda Middle School as a 7th grade Texas History teacher and coach. From the beaches of Corpus Christi, the Piney Woods of Grapeland to the hills of San Antonio, I'm living my best life with my amazing family: my wonderful wife, my adorable two-year-old daughter, and my eldest, Dexter, an ankle-loving poodle! 🐩👧

With a degree in History from Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi, fantastic experience as a charter school teacher from IDEA and Compass Rose Public Schools, and a passion for education, I'm thrilled to bring my knowledge and enthusiasm to the classroom and sports arena.

My various travels have equipped me with diverse experiences that I'm keen to share with my students. I believe in fostering a love for history while developing critical thinking skills that will serve a new group of bright young minds well beyond the classroom.

As an avid learner myself, I'm always eager to connect with other educators to share best practices and seek new ways to engage students and make history come alive. I'm particularly interested in innovative teaching methods that incorporate technology and interactive experiences.

My approach to education is holistic, blending academic instruction with athletic coaching to foster well-rounded students. I believe in the power of experiential learning, often drawing parallels between historical events and current affairs to make history relevant and engaging for my 7th graders.
