📚🏀🌳 Year Two Begins!
I’m thrilled to be back at Tejeda Middle School for my second year as a 7th grade Texas History teacher and coach. From the beaches of Corpus Christi to the Piney Woods of Grapeland and now the rolling hills of San Antonio, my journey has been full of adventure—and I’m so grateful to continue it here with the amazing Tejeda community.

I live a full and happy life with my wonderful wife, our energetic three-year-old and six-month-old daughters, and our oldest family member, Dexter, a lovable (and ankle-chasing) poodle! 🐩👧

I earned my History degree from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi and previously taught at IDEA and Compass Rose Public Schools. My experiences in both charter and public education have shaped my passion for creating a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment.

This year, I'm continuing to focus on:

• Building historical thinking skills

• Making Texas History relevant through engaging discussions and real-world connections

• Inspiring students both in the classroom and on the court/field

As a lifelong learner, I actively seek out innovative strategies—especially those that bring technology and hands-on learning into play. Whether it’s through an interactive lesson or a well-timed sports analogy, I strive to make learning meaningful and memorable for every student.
