I graduated summa cum laude from Texas State University with a bachelor's degree in music education. While an undergraduate student, I studied cello with Dr. Karla Hamelin and pedagogy with Dr. Rebecca Tast. As a college student, I performed with the Texas State Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Carolyn Watson. I spent three years teaching in the Texas State String Project as the K-2 Cello instructor and Beginning Orchestra Instructor. During summers, I worked as the head counselor of the Texas State String Camp and studied the Suzuki method at the Suzuki Institute DFW. 

This will be my fifh year directing the orchestras at Tejeda Middle School and I feel excited and grateful to be a part of such an amazing community. 

When I am not teaching, I enjoy bike riding, doing yoga, and spending time with my precious dogs, Cashew and Walnut.
