Welcome!!! :-) This is Mr. Chitta's thirteenth year teaching in the public schools and could not be more blessed to be back with the outstanding fine arts team at Wood Middle School! His classes include focusing on the beginning BRASS instruments (trumpet, french horn, trombone, baritone, tuba), and Symphonic Band.

In his free time, Mr. Chitta loves running, traveling, and recently toured Europe for three weeks in 2010. Definitely an experience to remember for a lifetime and to do again. Mr. Chitta and his wife went to England for their honeymoon and fell in LOVE with London and their surrounding areas.

Since completing his master's degree in music education at Texas State University in May 2021, Mr. Chitta has been on an exciting journey to spread awareness and educating others on teaching students with hearing loss in the music education settings. As a deaf and hard-of-hearing musician himself, he strives to inspire others on a daily basis with what he CAN do despite his hearing loss. His past presentations include the Cambridge University Press Accessibility Champions Virtual Talk, ALPSP (Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers) Virtual University Press Redux Conference, Colorado Music Educators Association Conference, and the Texas Music Educators Association Clinic & Conference. Mr. Chitta's professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, The Midwest Clinic, and Texas Bandmasters Association. 

In the 2023-2024 school year, Mr. Chitta will be presenting at The Midwest Clinic International Band and Orchestra Conference in Chicago and at the Florida Music Educators Association Professional Development Conference in Tampa.

He currently resides in San Antonio, Texas, with his wife and their two dogs.
