• The following is an addendum to the official North East ISD Dress Code Policy. Students will adhere to both the NEISD Dress Code Policy and the Wood Middle School Dress Code Policy while attending school functions or school-sponsored activities on or off school property. The campus principal has final determination on any dress code matters. The NEISD Dress Code Policy may be found in the student handbook on the district website. Any student who does not comply with the dress code will be removed from the regular school setting until the student complies with this code. The rules to be followed are:

    • Hooded sweatshirts are permitted. However, the hood may not be worn indoors.
    • No crop tops or midriff shirts. (Even with a jacket over them)
    • Hats, sunglasses, etc. Are not permitted at school.
    • All items of clothing worn must be modest in appearance. Modest is defined as
    • dressing to avoid impropriety or indecency with all portions of the body’s trunk
    • covered, unseen, and contained.
    • Clothing with inappropriate advertising, pictures, symbols, or statements that are
    • offensive or inflammatory are prohibited.
    • All Wood Middle School PE/athletic uniforms will be worn during athletic activities.
    • Shorts, basketball shorts, skirts, and dresses will be permitted only if they fall below the fingertips.
    • Biker shorts are prohibited.
    • Yoga pants may only be worn with a shirt that comes to the student’s fingertips.
    • Jeans with tears, holes, etc. Above the fingertips are not permitted.
    • All footwear must be secure in the heels. Slides house shoes/slippers, and flip flops
    • are prohibited due to safety concerns. Footwear will be worn at all times.
    • Crocs may be worn only if the heel strap is behind the heel.
    • Pajamas/pajama bottoms are prohibited.
    • Pants that are sagging are prohibited.
    • Blankets are not considered a form of attire. All blankets are prohibited due to the asthma hazard.
    • Earbuds and headphones are not considered an accessory. Earbuds/headphones are prohibited during the day.
