Mrs. De La Garza

I am grateful to be part of another exciting year teaching curious and energetic students.  Boy does it seem like this year will be like no other.

I graduated in 1996 from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I joined the North East ISD family in 2009 as a science teacher at Wood Middle School.  I have been married for 18 years and have 3 beautiful children. Tori my oldest was born in 2004, Jacen is my athlete born in 2006 and Daniel is the youngest born in 2008. So I am aware of the challenges of raising children as well as teens and preteens

My goal is to guide your children, as I do my own, to academic success and prepare them to achieve throughout life. I want your child to develop a self-confidence to express their knowledge. In my class, your child will benefit from a teacher who is a parent familiar with learning challenges and different learning abilities and styles.  I look forward to collaborating with you this year.
