Welcome to Lopez Middle School! I am happy that you chose to attend Lopez Middle School and I am looking forward to getting to know each one of you during the upcoming year. Lopez is a great school, where teachers have your child’s best interest at heart.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree and have been a science teacher for 27 years. I am certified to teach biology, Earth science, life science and physical education. I also have my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and I am certified to be a Principal EC-12. I have returned to coaching football and basketball and look forward to working with the athletes! Go Panthers!

My father was in the military for 23 years, so I grew up as a military brat, moving to a new school every one to three years. So I understand the anxiety of a child coming to a new school.

I have been married for 34 years, and my wife is a teacher as well. My son and his wife are both teachers and my daughter works with special-needs children. We have 3 dogs, a parrot, a gecko and a bunch of tarantulas. I love spending time with my family most of all. I also like the Spurs, hunting, fishing, and I am a college football fanatic. My favorite games are Warhammer and Magic the Gathering.
