Ms. Diamantina Luna

I teach Orchestra, Mariachi, and 5th grade strings at Wood Middle school. I was born and raised in Dallas, TX, where I lived with my parents and 5 siblings. I started playing vioiln at the age of 12 and developed a love of music since then. I participated in the Young Strings Program sponsered by the Dallas Symphony in which I received violin lessons throughout high school. I attended Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts where I further developed my performance skills.

I attended Texas State University-San Marcos where I graduated with a Bachelors of Music with Teacher Certification in 2006. I began my teaching career at Bradley MS in Spring 2007-2013. I also pursued my Masters degree at Texas State earning my Masters in Music Edcation in 2011.

I am proud to run my own orchestra/mariachi program at Wood Middle School. I started my career here in Fall 2013. I am happy to be here and work with all of our wonderful students! I look forward to an amazing school year!
