Technology is our future! New ideas, exciting classroom possibilities, and a fresh approach for students at the middle school level; are the things I am ecstatic about. I am looking forward to the year that lies before us, as we embark on our STEAM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Art-Mathematics) journey at the middle school level.

Creating excitement about computers with students at a young age is significant, and the earlier we expose them to the possibilities and interests in computers the sooner we begin to build a foundation in technology to pique their interest.  If we create enthusiasm now at a young age, this can impact the number of students we have pursuing computer science and possible college/career options.

I have been an educator since 1999 and I am continuously looking for new, innovative ways to bring real-life lessons to the classroom and increase student engagement.  Most recently, I’ve decided to expand my horizons and am now in my 9th year teaching CTE courses for high school credit.

I am excited about teaching and growing positive relationships with my students in the areas of Robotics and Computer Science classes.
