Technology is our future! New ideas, exciting classroom possibilities, and a fresh approach for students at the middle school level, these are the things I am ecstatic about. I am looking forward to the year that lies before us as we embark on our Computer Science journey at the middle school level.
To create excitement about computers with students at a young age is significant. The earlier we expose them to the possibilities and interests in computers the sooner we begin to build a foundation in technology to peak their interest. If we create enthusiasm now at a young age this will impact the number of students we have pursuing computer science and possible college/career options.
As an educator for over 21 years, I am continuously looking for new and innovative ways to bring real life lessons to the classroom and increase student engagement for my students. Most recently, I’ve decided to expand my horizons and am now in my 7th year teaching CTE courses for high school credit.
I am excited about teaching and growing positive relationships with my students in the areas of Robotics, Principles of Art, A/V, and Communications, and Principles of Information Technology classes.
