Ms. Heather Brown

Technology is our future! New ideas, exciting classroom possibilities, and a fresh approach for students at the middle school level are the things I am ecstatic about. I am looking forward to the year that lies before us, as we embark on our STEAM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Art-Mathematics) journey at the middle school level.

Creating excitement about computers with students at a young age is significant, and the earlier we expose them to the possibilities and interests in computers the sooner we begin to build a foundation in technology to pique their interest.  If we create enthusiasm now at a young age, this can impact the number of students we have pursuing computer science and possible college/career options.

I have been an educator since 1999 and I am continuously looking for new, innovative ways to bring real-life lessons to the classroom and increase student engagement.  Most recently, I’ve decided to expand my horizons and have enjoyed teaching CTE courses for high school credit, since 2014.

I am a proud coach of the most victorious and exceptional robotics teams in the district, city, and state!
