Ms. Jillian Mason

Hey Bears, I’m Ms. Mason and I’m thrilled to be back for year 2 at Bradley!

This community is home to me because I'm a former Coker Cub, Bradley Bear and Macarthur Brahmadora! During my school years, I spent my nights and weekends training at various dance studios in the area. I earned my dance degree from Texas State, and during college, I danced with SeaWorld San Antonio and several dance companies. After college, I taught at Dailey Middle School in Austin, where I directed the Dazzler dance team who received numerous awards and three grand champion titles. I then went on teach at Nimitz middle school and last year I had the privilege to come to Bradley and start the dance program! In our first year we had a flourishing program with over 100 students! I also started the Silver Star Dance Team which is an elite group of dancers that represent Bradley at various performances in the community.

In my spare time you can find me hanging out with my family and two dogs! My baby girl, Jazlene, is one year old and my tiny dancer; she actually started dancing before she could walk! I also just finished my Pilates certification and teach classes at a fitness studio.

My teaching philosophy is that I believe the practice of dance creates an avenue to develop lifelong skills such as self-expression, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. I strive to help my students grow their confidence, artistic abilities , and gain an appreciation for dance as a form of art.

Dance is my is my #1 passion as it brings me immense joy and I'm incredibly grateful I get the opportunity to share that happiness with my dancers. I'm excited make memories, watch my students grow, and help them ignite their passion for dance and life this year!
