Serving Grades 6-8
“Once a Bear, Always a Bear! ”
Welcome to the Bradley Bear website! Bradley and its staff and students have consistently committed to a highly engaged community culture and climate of high expectations for success since 1982, and we are still going strong! We are proud to be one of the destination schools in all of NEISD!
Bradley Middle School is home of the “college-bound” Bears. Bradley is a school where excellence in academics, extra-curricular activities and athletic programs is a tradition. Bradley supports and encourages all students to reach their full potential, and students are prepared for success in high school and beyond.
Omar Nelson Bradley (February 12, 1893 – April 8, 1981) was a senior officer of the United States Army during and after World War II, rising to the rank of General of the Army. He was the first chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and oversaw the U.S. military's policymaking in the Korean War.

Each year, 4th grade students from all over Texas visit Bradley’s Mill Springs Cabin for a full day field trip. As these young pioneers move through the grounds, they will step back in time and experience aspects of Texas history such as: a day in the life of a Texas settler, the ways of the cowboy on a chuckwagon trail, how to create Lower Pecos rock art and even where to find dinosaur tracks in San Antonio. Each student will experience Texas history through hands-on activities offered at 9 different rotations around the grounds. Each presentation is delivered by trained 7th and 8th grade Bradley students who demonstrate professional docent qualities that they have acquired during their Cabin Elective class since the beginning of the school year. Field trips are offered from the start of November through May with a break during January and part of February.
To schedule a field trip for you and your students at the Mill Springs Cabin, reach out to Cabin Coordinator, Krystine Ryan, at bradleycabin@gmail.com

Bradley opened 40 years ago with about the same number of students we enjoy today! But one thing has never changed - our commitment and expectation of excellence in all that we do! From district championships in sports to region qualifiers in Fine Arts to a fall musical every year… to our soaring academic success, clubs, organizations, and incredible community support, Bradley has been leading the way in North East Independent School District for 40 years, and that won’t change anytime soon!

With our rustic cabin and general store (our famous cabin program), tall trees and neighborhoods teeming with deer, Bradley has almost a country feel compared to most schools in the nation’s 7th largest city. While we may have nearly 1200 students - roughly the same number as when Bradley opened 40 years ago - the fact that so many people still live in this community gives it an unbelievable family feel and small-town culture.
-
We have a climate and culture here at Bradley where several of our former students have returned to teach and coach! That, combined with the many parents of our current students who also attended Bradley, gives this school even more of a community feel than the “usual” neighborhood public school. We recently celebrated our 40th anniversary (Bradley was opened in 1982), and the number of former Bears - both students and faculty - at our celebration was amazing!
