Howdy! I am Miss Christianson and I am very excited about being your U.S. History teacher this year! I recently graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in  Education. WRECK' EM! I did a full year of full-time student teaching in 8th grade American History in Lubbock, Texas at Evans Middle School. I absolutely loved it!

I was born and raised in San Antonio and grew up in NEISD, attending Hidden Forest Elementary, Bradley Middle School and graduating from Winston Churchill High School. I loved attending Bradley Middle School, because I got involved in playing volleyball, basketball, being on the track team, playing the violin, being a member of NJHS and I had some awesome teachers. That's why I came back to teach here!

I love spending time with my family/dogs and friends, and cheering on the Red Raiders! Some of my favorite things to do are going to church, horseback riding, watching movies/sports, and listening to country music/attending concerts. 

But most importantly, I can't wait for y'all to learn about my favorite subject in the world... SOCIAL STUDIES! Social Studies is so important to our education and to understanding how we have socially evolved from hundreds of years ago, and how we can use knowledge of our past to understand the present. I'm here to help students take hold of their own learning and apply it to their own lives. The best way to learn is to be a part of the learning process and get involved not only in extracurriculars but also in the classroom. Getting involved and taking control is what makes history. I can't wait to see what this year holds for us!
