B.A. Vocal Music Education, St. Olaf College
Melissa French-Stephenson
This is my 5th year as the proud director of the Bradley Choirs and my 32nd year working with middle school singers! I have served as a middle school choir director and/or private voice teacher over that time, the majority of my years here at NEISD. I am a 1991 graduate of St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, where I had amazing choral experiences. Originally from Wisconsin, I am a die-hard Green Bay Packer fan and a proud stockholder of the team!
My husband, David Stephenson, is Coordinator of Fine Arts and Director of Bands in Alamo Heights ISD. Our sons, James and Sam, were both Bradley Bears! We are about to become Cougar fans as our oldest, James, heads to the University of Houston to play in the band and study music education. Sam will be a sophomore at MacArthur and is also a band member as well as a swimmer. We are dog lovers and are happiest when we are hanging out together as a family. In my spare time I enjoy reading, binge watching a great series and jogging with my Weimaraner.
It is truly a joy and privilege working with middle school singers and I can't imagine doing it at any other school in San Antonio!
