Mrs. Jaclyn Bowers

Hello! I'm so excited about another fantastic year of making music! I'm a proud product of NEISD schools and love to teach here. After graduating from Johnson High School in 2010, I went on to study at the University of Texas San Antonio (Go Runners!), graduating in 2015. While at UTSA, I studied under Linda Poetschke and sang under the batons of Dr. Gary Mabry and Dr. John Silantien. I have been the Choir Director at LEE High School since 2015. Choral music is a true passion of mine, and I continue to perform in my spare time. I recently served as Alto Section Leader at St. Thomas Episcopal Church (2013-2023) and currently sing in Alegría, a women's choir here in San Antonio under the direction of Jo Scurlock-Dillard, my former high school choir director. You can also see me conducting the orchestral pit during Allied Campus Theatre's Musicals, which occur in January here at LEE.

My wonderful husband Jeff (a recovering bass trombone player) and I have a daughter named Willow, and a Basset Hound/Labrador mix named Lucy. We love being outdoors (when it's not a million degrees outside!), going on hikes, ticking different National Parks off my Bucket List of visiting all 63 NPS Parks, practicing yoga, and supporting our San Antonio Football Club.
