Welcome to United States History 1877-Present & US Government ! I am looking forward to a fabulous year teaching our LEE Volunteers.

In 1991, I graduated from MacArthur High School. I am so glad that I was able to return many years later to teach in NEISD. I earned my degree from Texas A&M in 1995 with a B.A. in History and a minor in Political Science.This is my 19th year of teaching. Throughout my teaching career, I was honored to be nominated for Teacher of the Year by my peers as well as a semi-finalist for the HEB Teacher of Excellence award.

I am married to my high school sweetheart and have seven children. My youngest children, ten year old twins, will be in7th Grade this year.  I also have a 21year old son who loves football and Texas A&M. My oldest daughter is twenty-four  and graduated from Texas State University. I also have three step-daughters who live in Austin.  Needless to say, I am a busy lady.  Most of my free time is spent watching my boys play football and my youngest daughter swim competitively.

I believe that a classroom full of mutual respect, lots of laughter, constructive noise and constant interaction and engagment is the BEST type of classroom! Go Big Red!
