I started my teaching career in North East ISD at Bradley Middle School in 2006.  I moved to Tejeda Middle School  as the Special Education Campus Coordinator in 2011 and transitioned to an assistant principal at Tejeda in 2014.  In 2015, I served as an assistant principal at Reagan High School prior to being named the proud principal of Lopez Middle School in August of 2020.  I am a father of 3 children who all attend NEISD schools. I am supported by my wonderful wife of 20 years.  I look forward to working with you and your students in the future.

As a native of San Antonio, I am dedicated to improving my school and my community. I graduated from John Marshall High School, completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at San Antonio, and earned my master's degree from Concordia University. I have been fortunate enough to be involved in education for over 20 years.  I began teaching Reading at Connally Middle School (NISD) in 1998 before I came to North East ISD.  In 2005 I joined the staff at Krueger MS to be a Reading teacher, the Academic Dean, and then an Assistant Principal. Now, I am proud to be serving the LEE community as Assistant Principal of Curriculum.

It is with great appreciation that I have been given the opportunity to be an administrator for LEE High School.  I am so impressed with the faculty and students here and I look forward to many great experiences with the LEE community.

Prior to coming to LEE, I was a graduate of James Madison high school and Texas A&M University.  I had  the honor to teach US History, AP US History, and AP Government at Madison High School for 21 years.  Although I truly loved teaching, I had the opportunity to become an Assistant Principal in a neighboring district for four years and was an Assistant Principal at Reagan last.  I am very happy to be back with NEISD.  It feels like coming home.  I live in the district and both of my sons are products of the great education and opportunities our district offers to all our students.

Thank you to all of you who have welcomed me to the LEE community.  I am looking forward to a great 2023-2024 school year.  Go Vols!

As a product of NEISD, I am thrilled to continue my role as Assistant Principal on the campus of LEE High School. I attended Bradley Middle School and graduated from MacArthur High School. In addition, both of my adult children graduated from Churchill High School. The 23-24 school year marks my 4th year in administration and my 16th year as an educator. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and pets, traveling and shopping. I am looking forward to positively impacting the students, teachers and community of LEE High School.

I graduated from University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in Education and received my Masters and Doctorate from the University of Arizona in Curriculum, Instruction and Supervision.  For 20 years of my career, I have taught secondary English and coached both boys’ and girls’ basketball before moving into administration. I am excited to be NEISD and serve as an assistant principal at LEE HS. I have been in administration for the past ten (10) years.  Kids and their education is my passion, and I will work with the community to believe and share in my passion in order to increase student success. I believe in an open-door policy in working with students and parents to celebrate victories and resolve any questions or concerns you may have. I want to work collaboratively with students, staff and parents in a conscientious effort to ensure all students have a solid foundation for success as they spend their formative years at LEE High School.
