Ms. Alicia Uecker
Signs, *HELLO!* ;)
My name is Alicia Uecker, Ms. Uecker to some, Ms. U. to most. :D
I am thrilled to be entering my fifth year of teaching ASL at LEE. Like your kiddos, I started my sign language journey in ASL class when I high school. In fact, I was on the interpreting path for years. That was, however, until I discovered my true passion was for teaching and sharing my love for signing and Deaf culture. I have a total of eighteen years signing experience. I have a background in theatre as well, just to make things interesting. ;) I am a big proponent of having fun while my students learn a life skill they can utilize well beyond their high school years. :)
Here is to this year being the best year yet! *TRUE BIZ!* See y'all soon!
