My SMORE Webpage with many Transition Resources.
Hello Families!
I am the Churchill Cluster Transition Teacher. I am a graduate of UTSA and I received my degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Special Education. This will be my eighth year at Churchill and I am proud to say that I am a Charger. I was the ALE Social Studies Teacher for 5 years and I also worked with the Highly Structured Environment Classroom. I usually work ESY Extended summer school for High School and it's always great to be back in a classroom and doing what I love: working with students I adore!
I transitioned to the new position of Transition Teacher in September 2019 and I am really enjoying being able to meet so many more students and families within NEISD. My transition motto is the same motto as our Winston Churchill High School: "Never, never, never give up!" We will all strive for a wonderful and successful school year during this challenging time. My goal and passion as the Churchill Cluster Transition Teacher is to make sure ALL of our families are connected to all the wonderful resources there are to help transitioning through the different stages in your child's life without stress. There are so many aspects to Special Education, and TRANSITION is a big one that I can help you tackle!
I am also the mother of 3 wonderfully rambuctious boys! This 2022-2023 school year my eldest will be a Junior in High School and I am so excited for him but am now coming to the realization that OMG he's almost going to leave me! How does the time go by so fast? My youngest son will be entering 3rd grade and he is NOT excited to say the least other than he is happy he has the same teacher again (so am I ;)). My middle child is going into 6th grade and loves that he is going to middle school. He isn't a tween yet but likes to call himself that! He is finally starting to enjoy school and that makes me so happy! I want you to know that I understand the difficult challenges that you all face and just know that I am here for any resources or help that I can give.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, concerns, need help, or just want to talk to a friend. I am always available to help in any way that I can. My door is always open!
My Office number is 210-356-0121 or you can call the Special Education office 210-356-0071 to leave a message. Thank you!
