Mrs. Jordan Bryant

 Jordan began working at NESA as the Director of Voice in the Fall of 2013. Jordan Bryant received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at Hardin-Simmons University and her Masters of Music in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Her most recent performance credits include: Musetta (La Boheme), Josephine (H.M.S. Pinafore), Third Lady (Magic Flute), Mother (Amahl and the Night Visitors) and premiered the role of Elaina in David Heuser’s A Brief History of Root Vegetables. Jordan studied at the Taos Opera Institute in 2010 and was invited to return in 2011 as the soprano apprentice for the Cantos de Taos. She was a 1st place winner at the South Texas NATS competition in 2010 where she received the Alice Butcher Thornton Certificate for exhibiting outstanding career potential. In 2011 she received a COLFA Grant to study the Musical Theater belting technique and observe leading Musical Theater teachers that lead to a first-place research presentation on “The Vocal technique of Belting.” She previously taught as a voice lecturer and the jazz/musical theater ensemble co-director at the University of Texas at San Antonio and has maintained a private studio. She has recorded vocals on several singer/songwriter albums and has toured with local bands. She has two children, Emmy and Bowen, and does yoga and spin class in her free time!
