Mrs. Amie Charney


Amie Charney, Director of Creative Writing, NESA

Amie Charney holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of California, and a BA in Literature and Writing from Cal State. She is a published fiction writer and screenwriter. She has also taught AP English, AP Seminar, AVID, World Lit, and American Lit. Mrs. Charney is a proud USMC wife and has enjoyed living all over the country. She also has two children -- her daughter Lauren is a BIMS Junior at Texas A&M, and son Alex is a Senior at NESA in the Creative Writing Major. Mrs. Charney loves to travel and has been all over the world. She also loves reading and collecting books...and shoes. She loves shoes :) Mrs. Charney's brain might be a Ravenclaw, but her heart belongs to Griffindor.
