Mr. Jonathan Martinez

Hello! My name is Jonathan Martinez. I am a music education graduate from Trinity University here in San Antonio, Texas. Previously, I was the choir director for Ed White Middle School for 2 years. I am very excited to continue my teaching career as the instrumental music director at the North East School of the Arts (NESA), where I hope to serve as a catalyst for lifelong musical engagement for many years to come!

A San Antonio native, I am an NEISD product, having attended Ed White Middle School and Roosevelt High School (DATA) for my public school education. I absolutely enjoy working in the district that I grew up in. I am also an active instrumentalist and vocalist, playing for the Trinity University Wind Ensemble for the past nine years. Outside of teaching I am a musical leader for The Marcsmen – San Antonio’s Premier A Cappella Group, and serve as a chorister/soloist for San Pedro Presbyterian Church.

I was also born at a very young age, but have lived my entire life nonetheless.
