Degrees and Certifications:
Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance Master of Arts in Teaching - Music
Ms. Diana MacPherson
I am very excited to join the Jose M. Lopez staff as the Assistant Orchestra Director! Though I grew up in San Antonio, TX, I have spent the past ten years living in Ohio, and just moved back to San Antonio this summer. During my time in Ohio, I attended Kent State University and received my Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance in 2013, studying cello with Keith Robinson of the Miami String Quartet. In May 2019, I earned my MAT in Music, also from Kent State University. I have been looking forward to teaching orchestra for a long time and I'm so thrilled to be working alongside Mrs. Sorgi in this fantastic school!
While I spend most of my time playing, listening to, thinking about, studying, and teaching music, I also like to step back and enjoy other activities. Some of these include reading, hiking, watching sci-fi shows and movies, and seeking out adorable animal videos on the Internet. In July 2020, I will be getting married and moving my fiance Alex from Ohio to San Antonio!
