Welcome to Lopez Middle School!

The 2024-2025 school year will be a great year of learning and expanding on foundational reading and writing skills. Throughout the year, we will learn to apply critical thinking skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Students will acquire strategies to increase comprehension while continuing to extend and refine their reading and writing skills. We will explore a wide selection of literature, including fiction, informational, argumentative, and poetry texts.

This is my tenth year teaching for North East ISD and my second year at Lopez Middle School. I'm looking forward to a new, adventurous year!

Class Announcements

    Every student will need the following:

    • Composition notebook - wide ruled
    • Blue/black pen or pencil
    • Scissors
    • Scotch tape
    • Colored pencils
    • Set of highlighters (yellow, green, orange, pink, blue, purple)
    • Wide-ruled notebook paper 

     

    The following are completely optional but are greatly appreciated! ☺
