I am a proud graduate of North Georgia College with a degree in Middle Grades Education. I am lucky to have had the wonderful opportunity to live in many different places and have a wide variety of teaching experiences, courtesy of my retired military husband. I have been married to my husband for 28 years and we have three beautiful children. I am very excited about teaching 8^th grade US History at Lopez Middle School. I love teaching history because I feel like all of my students should feel a connection with the past.  I care for each of my students and believe they can grow and develop by examining the history topics we will be covering in class.  The main goal in my US History class is to show not only the connection that the past has with the present but also for them to examine the world around them and their place in it. I look forward to helping my students develop and grow their skills during the 2023-2024 school year.
