Masters Degree in Criminal Justice Generalist 4th-8th CDL Certified

Mr. Jose Miguel Reyna

Hello Lopez Family !!!

I grew up in a small town in the Rio Grande Valley, San Benito, TX.  I graduated from San Benito High School and later attended college at the University of Texas at San Antonio.  I received my Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice in 1992 and my Masters Degree in Criminal Justice from Tiffin University in 2008.  Before I started teaching, I had a fulfilling career in the Criminal Justice field for 25 years.  I worked as a Program/Placement Director at a Residential Treatment Facility for the past 23 years.  I decided to change careers and start a new one in the Educational field.

This is my 8th year teaching in NEISD and first year at Lopez Middle School.  I taught 6th World Geography my first year at Page Middle School and I also coached football, basketball, and golf.  In the past seven years at Ed White MS, I have taught 7th grade Texas History and 8th grade US History . This year I'll be teaching World Geography 6th grade.   I’m looking forward to meeting all the parents and students during our school activities and sporting events.  My goals this school year at Lopez Middle School are to continue to develop a professional rapport with my students, be a positive role model, become an active member in my school’s community, and create a positive learning environment.
