Mrs. Alanis could not be more excited to start her seventeenth year at LEE High School, and is truly honored to be a part of the Lee-ette Spirit Family. Mrs. Alanis is proud to be the Varsity Royal Rubies Dance Team Director, JV Darling Drillers Drill Team Director, and the Dance Teacher for the LEE Fine Arts Dance Department.

Following high school graduation, Mrs. Alanis earned an Associates of Arts Degree from Kilgore College and was a two year member of the world famous Kilgore College Rangerettes and held the position of Swingster.  She is also a Texas State University Alumni where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dance Education with honors, Cum Laude.  She was a six year member of the San Antonio Spurs Silver Dancers and held the position of Captain for four consecutive years. Mrs. Alanis has instructed for the ShowMakers of America Dance Company for the past 12 years. In addition, she was named the 2019 LEE Teacher of the Year.

Throughout her 20+ years of dance training, Mrs. Alanis has performed in the televised Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, the Jingle Elf Parade in Chicago, the Indi 500 in Indianapolis, Dallas Cowboys Halftime Performances, Cotton Bowl Halftime Performances, and San Antonio Spurs Games. Mrs. Alanis has also performed with recording artist’s Will Smith’s “Switch”, Bryan Adams’ “Summer of 69,” and was a dancer on Tony Parker’s music video “Balance Toi.” Mrs. Alanis was selected to travel and perform overseas with the San Antonio Spurs in Taipei, Taiwan and Manila, Philippines for the NBA Madness Tour.
