     Ms. Johnson

Hello and Welcome to 6th Grade English, Language Arts and Reading (ELAR).

    A little bit about me:

Hi everyone. My name is Kari Johnson and I will be teaching 6th ELAR classes. I hope to share and extend my passion for this subject as I believe it is something that enriches our lives at every age. I'm a Texas Native and I'm still not used to the heat. This is my 24th year of teaching. I have degrees in Art, Sociology and have a lifetime certification to teach grades 1 through 8. My specialization is in reading. During college I wrote training manuals and wrote and directed training videos for reading teachers.  I must say that videos are much harder to make than I knew. I have an extensive non-teaching employment background, including graphic design, marketing, art direction, human resources and managing a community outreach veterinary clinic. This will be my 3rd year at Jackson Middle School and I have loved being part of the Jaguar family.  It is a great place to work and learn! I'm so happy to have the chance to be your teacher. Please, keep showing up, asking questions and celebrating every success, big or small. I believe in you Jaguars!

Together, we will do great things!

Life works best when we practice balance.    Please email me at kjohns2@neisd.net if you have any questions or concerns.

    Lots of love,

    Ms. J.

     Lots of love,
