Ms. Nancy Smith

Welcome, Generals!  My name is Ms. Smith.

I am originally from the Rio Grande Valley, but my family moved to San Antonio when I was 13, and I am a proud graduate of NEISD.

I am excited about the 2024-2025 school year.  I believe we are all lifelong learners and I strive to provide a safe, welcoming environment where we can learn from each other.

I am starting my 9th year here at Ike and my 12th year of teaching.  One of the best things about Eisenhower is the sense of family.  I have spent my career in education thus far as a special education teacher at the middle school level.  I am thrilled to have the opportunity to teach 6-8 EKAR Resource this year as well as one 2 sections of Dyslexia intervention. One of the things I've enjoyed most about teaching is being able to watch my students work through the learning process and seeing the smiles on their faces when they do well.  The feeling that comes with knowing that a student is willing to take a risk when learning and then seeing the increased confidence is simply amazing and truly a blessing.

Some of my favorite things are coffee, my dogs, books, spending time outdoors, and photography.
