New Hire Onboarding
Congratulations on your new hire and welcome to North East ISD. Our office is here to help guide you through the new hire process. Below, you will find a step-by-step overview of the hiring process and what information you will need to provide to our Human Resources department. If you have any questions, please contact us at (210) 407-0188.
Step 1: Your Welcome Email
-
New employees should receive a welcome email from their respective HR Director. This email will provide information regarding the position they are being hired for, as well as a brief description of our fingerprinting and background check requirements. This email will also provide new employees with the contact information for their designated HR Specialist who will assist new employees throughout the process.
Step 2: Fingerprinting, Drug/Physical Testing, & Background Checks
-
All new employees are required to have fingerprints on file with DPS which are then used to perform the required background check. If no fingerprints are on file, the new employee’s designated HR Specialist will call to schedule a fingerprinting appointment with the North East Police Department. For positions which require additional testing such as a drug test or a physical, the HR Specialist will provide instructions on when/where the employee may complete this testing. Fingerprinting and testing is performed at specific testing sites and should not be done until instructed to do so by the HR Specialist.
