Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri (GO CHIEFS!), I transplanted to this wonderful state in 2001.  I am a midwest girl, that graduated from Northwest Missouri State University where I played volleyball and received a degree in education.  My parents (an English teacher and a football coach) played a huge role in my decision to follow in their footsteps and become a second generation teacher in our family (as did my other siblings ... all five of us have education degrees). This will be my 27th year teaching, the 11th here at Barbara Bush.  I have taught kindergarten, third grade, elementary PE, and coached at the high school/club level.  My husband (Derek), kids (Kacy 11yr - Tyler 9yr), and chocolate lab (Tiki Barber)  are my biggest fan club and my life!  Weekends are filled with outdoor activities, their sporting events, and fun family time!  

It is my goal, to help instill a healthy balance of physical education, nutrition, and fun!  Looking forward to a GREAT year!  GO BULLDOGS!!
