I was born and raised in San Antonio and I attended school in NEISD. I graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Reading. I also have a Master’s in Educational Administration from the University of Phoenix. 

I am starting my 16th year in education and this is will be my 13th year at Bush. My career at Ed White Middle School and taught reading for two years then took a break to start my family. I returned to Tejeda in 2008 for a year then was blessed to be asked to move to Bush Middle School. 

I have been married for twenty-two years to my high school sweetheart Jaime Guerra. He currently teaches PE at Wetmore Elementary. We both love teaching and enjoying raising our two children Madison 18 and Kalten 15. Madison is attending UTSA and Kalten will be at Smithson Valley High School. I also have a Doberman named Pixie that I walk with daily before and after school. 

I like to go running, do yoga, read, work in the yard, and go to the beach in my spare time!
