Welcome Home, Bulldogs!  I am Coach Eli Vela and I’m looking forward to a great school year.  I am a graduate from St. Mary's University where I received my Bachelors of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Math and Reading. I’m beginning my 24th year of teaching in Middle School and have taught all 3 grade levels in several subject areas, which include Math, Science, Health and PE/Athletics.  I also coach football, track and soccer.

 I am married with 3 children and 5 dogs.  My wife, Priscilla, is a school counselor in NISD.  My oldest daughter Kristina enjoys living in Germany.  Alexa recently graduated from Reagan HS and will be a Freshman at Texas A&M Corpus Christi.  Ethan, my youngest, will be a Junior at Reagan and will stay busy running track.  My dogs include a weimaraner, Khaleesi, Mavericka husky, Piper a Belgian malinois , Luna a Blue Heeler and Ralph a chihuahua. 

In my spare time, I like to BBQ, be outdoors, watch my kids play sports and visit Disney World.  A personal goal for me this year is to train so I can run the Disney Half Marathon in 2024.
