Mrs. Samantha Hopkins
A product of NEISD myself, I am excited to begin my 24th year teaching American History! I am proud to say that this will be my 23rd year teaching at Barbara Bush MS, as I was one of the original faculty members when our school first opened its doors in August, 1998. I attended NEISD schools from 1st through 12th grade, and love teaching in the district in which I grew up in. I have my Bachelors Degree in History from SWTSU (it will always be SWT to me), and my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from UTSA (go Roadrunners!).
I am married, and have two sons that are crazy about playing baseball. My hobbies include running (my favorite distance is the full marathon), photography, travel, cooking, and reading. I have a deep love of coffee, s'mores, the beach, and all things patriotic. I am blessed to combine my passion for working with children and my love of our nation's past, and look forward to the opportunity to teach your child this year.
