I am thrilled to be back at Bush Middle School! I opened the school in 1998 and taught sixth grade English here until I had my second child in 2005. Since being away, I worked at a church in the children's ministry area, and most recently, I taught second grade and kindergarten. I am excited to be back in the world of middle school. I look forward to working with seventh graders and instilling in them a love of literacy. 

I started my teaching career shortly after graduating from Texas A&M University, teaching English as a foreign language in Budapest, Hungary. Upon returning to the US, I taught in Northside for five years before transferring to NEISD and Bush Middle School. NEISD feels like home because my husband and I both graduated from North East schools, and our children go to North East schools (Go Brahmas!). 

When I am not at school, I am spending time with my family. I have a son who is a senior at MacArthur and a daughter who is a sophomore at MacArthur. My husband is a musician, and if you are in band, you just might see him pop into class to deliver instruments and supplies. I love to read, write, run, craft, and go to my children's sporting events. I am also a huge Spurs fan!
