Mrs. Amanda Rodriguez
Hello Friends of Krueger Orchestra!!
I am the orchestra director for Krueger Middle School. I moved to the San Antonio area after I got married in 2018. I am so happy to be living and teaching in such a beautiful city. I began playing the violin in my fifth grade string program in Houston, Texas. My love for orchestra never faded. I decided to pursue a degree in music education at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas because I realized that my favorite subject had always been orchestra.
After I began teaching in 2004 in public schools, I volunteered to be in various ensembles and community orchestras. I have been privileged to play with some amazing musicians and I have created friendships that will endure the tests of time and distance.
I love telling people that I teach middle school. I love to see their reactions when I say that students that age help to maintain a youthful spririt and a sense of humor. It is a great feeling to know that I had a small part in a student's musical journey.
In my spare time I enjoy traveling, reading, playing board games, taking excursions, and being around my wonderful family.
I know this chapter in my life will be a fantastic and memorable musical adventure and I am looking forward to it!
