Ms. Charlotte Rowe

Hi! Welcome to 5th Grade!

I am so excited to start a new school year! It's going to be a fun and an exciting year filled with learning. But, before I get to know you, I want you to know a little bit about me and my family. I am a single mom of two beautiful daughters, Alix and Mae. Alix is a graduate of UTSA. She currently lives in Oaxaco, Mexico with her husband, Miguel and their two year old daughter, Emilia. She established her business in remote learning named Level Up Literacy Lab designed for ages Pre-K thru 12 children around the world.  Her love for reading has inspired her to build this business to help others be better  My youngest  is Mae. They live in Brooklyn, New York seeking her education in the Arts, more specifically acting. She loves the stage, singing, and captivating their audience. This is truly their passion in life and has an exceptional talent to inspire those around them.

As for me, I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas and my Master of Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix.  I joined NEISD in September of 2005 working as a paraprofessional. It was then I realized how much I loved being in the field of education, teaching, and helping students learn and grow.

After graduate school, I joined the Harmony Hills community in the Spring of 2013 starting as a third grade certified teacher and now teaching 5th grade. During my time with Harmony, I was selected to represent this great campus as Teacher of the Year and was elected as a Trinity Prize For Excellence in Teaching nominee. I'm humble to have had the opportunity to be Teacher Feature of the month of April 2019. My class and I were videoed during a class lesson and shown on the NEISD webpage. I have been blessed to be part of this wonderful community and this great district for the last 17 years, as both a paraprofessional and a certified teacher.

My passion is to help prepare students for their future (keeping the "End in Mind"), by showing them how to master skills essential to everyday life and and believe in their future by using the 7 Habits in their daily lives. In the classroom, I aim to make real world events come alive in order to help the students make connections from the classroom to their everyday lives.

A student's success is made possible by:

1. the support of many people like their family and teachers,

2. their own momentum and drive to improve, and

3. a positive, optimistic attitude.

Every Child, Every Day, Soaring to Success!

Stay Safe and Healthy!
