Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Learning Disorders

Mrs. Donley

My name is Andrea Donley and I've lived in San Antonio my entire life. I graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Learning Disorders.  When I was working on my basics and prerequisites, I wanted to be a Nurse, so I have an Associate of Science, Pre-Nursing.  I changed my degree plan the first time I saw a broken arm at a birthday party.  I wanted to barf and I thought, I don't have the stomach for nursing!  I wasn't discouraged at all, I did a quick degree audit and found a program at OLLUSA where I could still have a career that would allow me to help people in a meaningful way.   I'm proud to be a part of the NEISD family and especially grateful to be at Krueger Middle School. This will be my third year as a teacher and my seventh year at Krueger.

Before becoming a teacher at Krueger, I worked with infants in an Early Childhood Education program at Brighton Center on the Northeast side. Before that, I worked at Our Lady of the Lake University and Palo Alto College in Financial Aid as a student-worker (work study- which is considered financial aid)  while taking classes at those campuses. Growing up, I lived with my paternal Grandparents and grew up the oldest in my sibling group. I have 1 full sister, Erika, 2 step-siblings, Jason and Brandy, and 2 half brothers, Jeremy, and Justin.  We're close and try to schedule monthly Sibling Dinner Parties and be there for each other whenever any of us need prayer, support, or a favor.

A bit about me: I will celebrate 22 years of marriage in the Spring of 2024.  We have two dogs, Max and Penny Lane. We love planning road trips and hiking and camping at some of the most beautiful Texas State Parks. Some of our favorites include Lost Maples, Davis Mountains State Park, and Palo Duro Canyon State Park, which is known as "The Grand Canyon of Texas" and the second-largest canyon in the United States.
