Degrees and Certifications:
Master in Education Bachelor of Arts in Communications Minor in Spanish
This is my 16th year here at Wilderness Oak Elementary and my 20th year teaching, altogether. I received a Master's in Education degree from Southwest Texas State University (currently Texas State University, although it's still SWT to me!) In addition to teaching second grade, I have also taught third and fourth grades.
Reading, gardening, listening to music, attending art museums and festivals, and traveling are some of my hobbies and favorite things to do, but I'm always searching for new ones!!! Another adventure I absolutely love is going to the beach, relaxing on the sand, catching some waves, fishing, and watching our ten-year-old daughter build sand castles and riding the waves on her boogie board. My perfect day would be relaxing on a beach in San Diego, California with family and friends.
